# When leveraging the Blocks platform, what programming languages are accepted?

BLOCKS is a smart contract. Apps using BLOCKS could be built with standard web frameworks and interact with the smart contract. There are libraries available for interacting with smart contracts like, web3.js and ethers.js for example. These tools make it easier to send a requests through JSON RPC either over HTTP or WebSockets in different programming languages.
